Nuovo PTT Review. (Nuovo Team Review)

Image
Hello, this is TheTechBoy with a review of the Push to Talk Application Nuovo Team. This was tested over a period of two days with a Samsung Galaxy Book Flex a, Google Pixel 4, an LG V40, and a Samsung A71 5G. A gift card was given for the opinions I personally gave the team, however, the review is as unbiased.      This business PTT application (that just came out o beta) allows the admin to see their user's location, create a team, and establish geofences. The application is available on IOS and Android. The team behind the app says your account is tied to your device's IMEI address which you will see can pose problems in the application later down the line.       Push to talk means that you can press a button to send voice transmission. This is basically a walkie-talkie application for mobile devices  One Sentence Summary: Nuovo Team is a good application, but it lacks the polish it needs to make it great.      The Good:    ...

What is Secure Folder: Why to buy Samsung over Apple (It has nothing to do with OS)

Image
Hello, this is TheTechBoy with a special report. As the headline suggests, this is the definitive reason to buy a Samsung phone over any other OEM. This has nothing to do with software or design or even price. This feature is on every Samsung phone running Android from the A03 up to the S22 Ultra. This is a feature no company (except for One Plus) has. This is the ‘killer app’ for Samsung devices. This application is Secure Folder.  Secure Folder is an amazing built-in application locker that surpasses all application lockers in the Galaxy Store and the Play Store. As loyal readers may know, third-party application lockers are not safe, as it is detailed in this post . Secure folder also does things a different way. Secure Folder puts a brand new OS on your phone … kind of.   Secure Folder is (downloaded) then  built into the cellphone's software and thus cannot be bypassed by ordinary means. Secure Folder also is secured by Samsung Knox, Samsung's Business/M...

Skiff Mail Review

Image
Hello, and welcome to TheTechBoy.org. Today, I am reviewing the Skiff desktop client and the mobile application.  ------ As some of you may know, here at TheTechBoy we review products as is, and do not give a product a higher score because it is 'privacy-conscious.'  ---- What is Skiff?      Skiff brands itself as a secure, open-source, and privacy-conscious alternative to Google Workspace . (Notice the graphic in Skiff's post, I'll wait) Skiff additionaly supports the Inter Planetary Filesystem . Learn more about this filesystem by clicking the link. I tested out the free version of Skiff which allows you to have 1GB of free Pages storage and 10 GB of email storage. On the free plan, you will receive the @Skiff.com email address. Skiff does have a paid tier. There is an 8-dollar-a-month plan (charged annually) or a 10-dollar-a-month plan. This plan allows users to upgrade their storage capacity to 100GB of Pages and email storage and better access to support. S...

The iPhone 14 Pro USB-C Rumors (I think the iPhone will have Thunderbolt)

Image
Hello, this is TheTechBoy with a special report.       As some of you may know, the iPhone 14 may have USB-C after years of having the Lightning port on the phone. Knowing Apple, they will probably present USB-C onto the iPhone as revolutionary, and has never been done before, and that they were not being pressured into using USB-C by their fans and regulatory bodies. The below article is about how I think Apple will market changing from Lightning to USB-C. 1. Connect with the Apple Ecosystem                 Apple will market USB-C as a way to charge and transfer data from your Mac and iPad to your iPhone with the same cable. This will be touted as a great reason to upgrade your iPhone and a major benefit to the Apple ecosystem. Accessory sales may also go up, as Apple can now make new dongles for those who use their 3.5mm dongles.  unsplash.com/@bradpouncey  2. Interoperatibliity With "Other OS's"    ...
