This begs the question: why?      Why are social media applications being used to chat with friends when SMS is free? Why are they not using dedicated WiFi-based chat applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or Signal? It is not because a phone call is intimate; Instagram and Snapchat allow you to call people. It is not for security reasons, as Snapchat is not end-to-end encrypted (and messages can be viewed on any device, unlike SMS), and I doubt the teens are worried about SS7-based tracking...      One actual messaging application has broken through to teens, but it costs 1000 dollars to enter and can be hard to leave. 1. Have It Change Your Message To Another Tone.     First, click the B button and click the Tone Icon. Then type something. I typed the phrase, "I love You," and after some processing, it gave me a Professional response, a casual response, a polite response, and a social media option (along with an emoticon/octothorpe). Hello, this is TheTechBoy with a report about Google Chat. UPDATE 4.25.23 TO DELETING MESSAGES  Google Chat is Google's free chat application. All you need is a Google Account. All you have to do is visit chat.google.com or download the Google Chat app on your Android or IOS device. So it sounds good but why is it such as bad chat app? No Editing      You cannot edit messages after sending them. This is a basic function of Discord, iMessage, Slack, and even YouTube comments. This is a fairly basic feature of chat apps and Google should add it.  No Deleting     You cannot even delete comments after sending them. Pretty basic chat feature.
