How To Create App Folders In Windows 11

Image
Hello, this is TheTechBoy with a tech tip      I learned a new tip today and I would like to share it with you. In Windows 11 you can now group applications in folders just like you can on mobile devices. Let me show you how. 1. Click The Windows Button     The windows button will bring up the application drawer. This will show you your applications. Do not go to the 'More' or the 'All Apps' tab but just the pinned applications.  2. Drag Your App           Drag your app to another app that you want to create a folder. If you want to create a folder with 3 or more applications you can drag that application into the folder.  To rename a folder click the folder and there is a bar t the top that will let you type in a folder name.       This only works for pinned applications. If you want to have more pinned applications go to settings and search for the start menu to add more space for pinned applications....

Image
Hello, this is TheTechBoy with a review of Exploreflix. Good: Christian Values, Good Content, Can Play in PIP  Bad: Not as much content, Still In Beta, No Mobile App       What Is Explore Flix:       Explore Flix is a Christian movie streaming site that produces its own movies and hosts other Christian movies and television shows. The service retails for 9.99 USD dollars a month, and has a web version and a Roku version. The company told me to produce is still in beta so keep that in mind. The company provides me a free login to do the review.  Content:      The Chose ins on Explore Flix and a few older movies on here. There are also some interesting films here. In all, there are not that many films on here and it is sorely lacking in kid's content. There is some comedy and action-adventure content as well.  Software:     The web application looks well. I did not play a full movie but I did play something. I...

YouTube App New Features/Changes

Hello, this is TheTechBoy with a The YouTube App has gotten a redesign here are the three new features/changes. PENDING 1. Browser     When you click a link on YouTube it opens up an internal browser that is based on Chrome. (At least on Android don't know about IOS) Anyway, when you open the browser the three-dot icon to open the link in Chrome has now moved to the top left side of the device instead of the top right.  2. Chat     In premieres and live streams, the chat has moved from a bubble on the top, where the share icon is, to the comment bar. All you have to do is swipe left to see chat replays or tap the icon to chat. It seems YouTube is phasing out the chat icon because when you click it will direct you to click where the comments are.

No, AI Will Not Take Over The World

Image
Hello, this is TheTechBoy with a special article.      Many articles have been written on websites that AI will replace jobs and humanity is doomed and there will be a robot revolution. Yeah, no not a chance.       If we step back and look at history, innovation has always come throughout the progress of time. At the start of human history Noah built a huge boat..cough cough...ship rather. After that people built a huge skyscraper. Fast forwarding to the 1800s the steam engine helped create modern society.      Then we got planes, rockets, computers, the Internet, etc. These objects helped push civilization forward. Yes, they replaced some jobs but they created new ones. Carresr such as blogging, YouTubing, or even flying a modern fighter aircraft would not even exist without the internet. Great companies such as Vice would not exist...ok, I just undermined my argument but you get the point.        Trans-Atlantic trav...

PETA BEGS FOR GOD'S WRATH BY USING CHATGPT TO REWRITE GENESIS

Image
Updated Oct 13: Spelling Thou shalt not take the Name of the Lord Your God  in Vain..     That is just what PETA did with Genesis 1 and it is appalling. Now you may be wondering while we are talking about PETA and the Bible on this site but they just used Generative Ai to 'translate' the Book of Genesis to a book about loving animals.     In an article titled, PETA Goes Biblical With ChatGPT Vegan Rewrite of the Book of Genesis, which sounds like a Babylon Bee headline, Peta begs for God's judgement buy REWRITING THE INERRANT WORD OF GOD!! Using ChatGPT!!!    The 'translation' puts animals at a human level and when animal skins are used for clothing it is replaced with bamboo skin!!! Obviously this messes up with several Bible accounts such as Gen 22 as Abraham makes friends with a lamb instead of sacrificeing it.     Now this is a tech blog, so the techie in me wonders what prompt PETA used to get ChatGPT to rewrite Genesis. This i...

Xtreme Skins For S22 Plus Review

Image
Hello, this is TheTechBoy with a special review.       A skin is a sticker of sorts for your phone that can add grip or texture to your phone. The Xtreme Skins Titanium Skin for the S22 Plus is a skin that is supposed to feel like metal and goes on the back of the phone. Xtreme Skins sent this to me to review for free. The S22 Plus was not provided by Xtreme Skins. It was supposed to be customized but it was not.       When I unboxed it it came with alcohol wipes to wipe the back of your phone and two stickers. One is for the back of the phone and the smaller one is for the camera bump. The skins are removable and can be reapplied and after a few attempts over time, I was able to align it fairly well.  It looks different than in the photos though.                                                      ...

Get a FREE VPN on Windows!!

Image
Hello, this is TheTechBoy with a special article.     How to get a free VPN on Windows 11. A VPN hides your IP address and can change your virtual location. It is useful for security and also accessing content blocked in certain regions. Most free VPNs are shady Chrome extensions or programs that may steal your data.       However, one of the largest antivirus companies in the world, Avast, has a solution. They have a free Windows program called Avast One. It is an antivirus that comes with 5 GB of free VPN data PER WEEK. This means you can use 5GB of internet data on your laptop or desktop computer using a VPN.      However there are a few caveats, there are only 5GB of data per week so you must use it responsibly. Also, it will only use the servers closest to you meaning you cannot pretend to be from another country. However, if you upgrade to premium these locks are removed.  God Bless, and Tech Talk To You Later!!!

IBM Replacing Jobs With AI Automation Chat GPT Makes a Good Doctor

Image
Hello, this is TheTechBoy with a special report.       IBM is using AI and automation to replace back-office jobs, per ARS Technica. This means that AI will not replace customer-facing jobs but the jobs you likely do not see. As for the number of jobs that would be displaced per Ars Technica, it could affect 26,000 jobs.  However, for the person who dislikes AI, there is good news. Per Ars Technica, 7000 jobs have been added in the first quarter.       We also have another story from NotTheBee, saying that ChatGPT answers questions 80% of the time better than doctors per researchers at UC San Diego.  The study was not that good of a study, as it was using questions posted to Reddit and not questions asked to actual doctors.       Anyway, the researchers sent the questions to Chat GPT and found that 80 % or around 160 of the responses were better and some of them were more  empathetic. That is an asto...
