The Pen Should Be Mightier Than The Finger

Image
Hello, this is TheTechBoy with a special article.      One of the reasons I got the S24Ultra was to experience the wonders of the S Pen. It's been mostly good, but a few tweaks could make it truly great. 1. Optimization     Samsung's automatic handwriting recognition is passable, but it could be better. It's slow in Samsung Notes, and in other apps, it sometimes glitches with the keyboard. Secondly, it's not compatible with all applications. If Samsung could fix this as well as make the intact handwriting box canvas bigger, that would be great. 2. Features Samsung's air commands are neat but could be more robust. I wish total control of the phone were possible with the S Pen. It would be neat to swipe through videos, home screens, and applications with that S Pen like a magic wand. Air actions seem limited by the phone's capabilities. 3. Haptics     The S Pen should get a haptic motor. Haptics can provide feedback when you click a button or edit a vide...

This Web App Trend Is Annoying

Image
Hello, this is TheTechBoy with a special article.       Imagine you have a decent computer in the 1990s: Windows 95, 1 GB RAM, a Pentium processor, and a 10 GB hard drive. You use it for everything—LAN games, word processing, databases, research—all of this entirely offline.     Now imagine it’s 2024. You have a decent laptop: Windows 10, 8 GB of RAM, a Core i5 processor, and 256 GB of storage. It’s used for Netflix, YouTube, online word processing, and graphic design. All in Chrome, all online. In fact, it’s borderline useless without a Wi-Fi connection. Why is this? The computer in 2024 is more capable than the 1990s system; it has 8 times the RAM and is completely faster.     Why does this trend persist? The beloved Encarta encyclopedia was discontinued in 2009, only to be replaced by obscure Wikipedia downloads with Kiwix. Offline clipart made way for Bing pictures, and even spreadsheets and graphic design have moved online.     Computers...

We Need An Internet Alternative

Image
Hello, this is TheTechBoy with a special article.      The internet has become essential for daily life, from checking emails and getting on video calls to finding information on the latest Samsung phone. The internet provides a simple way to do this. However, none of this works offline, which worries me.      Throughout the 1970s, AT&T made videophones that worked over the phone network. In the 1980s, people worked on computer terminals linked to a mainframe in the office or on personal computers with software on floppy disks. For those who wanted remote work, they could 'dial in' to their office provided they had a modem. Think of Dr. Blackgaard in Adventures in Odyssey's 'The Battle,' dialing into the Whit's End computer, or Nicholas Addamsworth dialing into the school computers to change grades in 'The Power.' This setup, while technically the internet, almost always worked since it operated over phone lines, which worked even in storms and power...

How To Make A Nuclear Bomb

Image
.....In The Power Toy If you want to create a nuke in The Power Toy this is how you do it.  1. Scroll down to the 'special' elements and create a diamond container at the top. In the simulation diamonds are indestructible. This is where the radioactive material will go. Be sure to have an opening so that the heat can go into the diamond. Alternatively, you can have it sealed with a lesser metal or wood that would transfer the heat to the radioactive powders.    2. Pick your radioactive material. You have to be careful not to put the wrong materials in the chamber or it will start the rector prematurely.  Put in some uranium and plutonium as they won't react without heat.  3. Next draw an ice cube at the top and connect the ice cube to the diamond via Titanium lines. Titanium is pretty heat-resistant. Line the top of the walls with ...

How To Add Laser Eyes To A Photo

Image
Hello, this is TheTechBoy with a special article.      Well, well, well, laser eyes seem to be a popular topic today. With new X campaigns trending to add lasers to your eyes, I thought I would capitalize on the hype just like I did with # calendargate (can we get an #Avagate???).       Anyway, to add laser eyes to your photos, visit  https://memed.io/laser-eyes-meme-maker and upload a photo using the image button. If your photo is hosted online, you can paste the URL in the box. After getting the image to load, you get 25 laser options to choose from. Choose one and drag it over your eye. If you want to delete it, you can click the delete selected button. Do likewise for the second eye. If you want to save your creation, click the download button. That's all for now. God bless and Tech Talk To You Later!!!

How To Draw Straight Lines and Clear Shapes on Your S24 Ultra!!!

Image
Hello, this is TheTechBoy with a special review.      Sometimes you may want to draw straight lines or shapes on your Galaxy S24 Ultra (or other Ultra/Note/Fold devices, presumably). This can help you with drawings, graphics, etc. If you want to do that with Screen Off Memo, you can follow these simple steps.      First, make sure Screen Off Memo is enabled in your settings. Then, ensure the S Pen is inserted in the phone. Lastly, lock the device. Next, extract the S Pen from the phone and start drawing. If you want clean lines or shapes, draw your shape and then hold the S Pen down for a few seconds. The software will autocorrect, giving you pixel-perfect shapes and lines. How To Disable Motion Photos on Your Samsung Galaxy Phone in Seconds: And Why You Should Not

Image
Hey everyone, TheTechBoy here! Today's post tackles a common question for Samsung Galaxy users: how to disable Motion Photos.      Motion Photos capture a short video clip alongside your still image, adding a touch of life to your memories. However, they might not be for everyone, and luckily, disabling them is a breeze.  Here's a quick guide: 1. Launch the Camera App: Open the default Camera app on your Samsung Galaxy phone. This is where the magic happens! 2. Check the Camera Mode:    This step is crucial. Motion Photos are, unfortunately, not available in high-resolution modes like 50MP, 64MP, or 200MP. So, before you proceed, make sure you're not in one of these modes. If you are, simply switch to a lower resolution mode like 12MP. 3. Find the Motion Photo Icon:     Look for an icon that resembles a tiny video player at the top of your screen. This icon usually sits alongside other camera options like flash and zoom. ...

Samsung Keyboard Is Broken

Image
Hello, this is TheTechBoy with a special article.     As some of you know, I reset my phone to improve the battery life on the S24 Ultra. Now, one of Samsung's best features is partially broken.     Samsung Write Assist is now completely white, and I cannot see the words. I can still use the tool, but I cannot see the text on the screen. Hopefully, Samsung fixes this soon. God bless, and Tech Talk to You later!!!!

This Tool Is Amazing!!! I'm Like The NSA

Image
Hello, this is TheTechBoy with a special review.  Happy Independence DAY!!! As you all may know my favorite intelligence agency is the NSA, thanks Andentures in Odyssey, haha. Anyway, I have always wanted to search through ALL my YouTube transcripts to easily clip out my most epic moments. This Chrome Extension allows me to do so.      YouTube Transcript Search , allows me to do so. All you have to do is go over to a YouTube page and click the extensions button. Then click your date range and click the button at the bottom that says ‘Initiate Program.’   When the program is done loading you can search and download the transcript JSON files. If you want to search through them you can do it in the text box at the bottom of the program.       It also gives you the timestamps that the words were said only in seconds. Also, this is not supported on Android yet o I cannot use my powerful S24 Ultra to search!!! Also, playlist su...

The S24 Ultra Battery Is Garbage

Image
I bought an S24 Ultra hoping for better battery life than my S22 Plus, but the S24 Ultra’s battery life is terrible! I get a maximum of 5 to maybe 5 hours and 30 minutes of screen-on time, and the battery dies by mid-day if I don't charge it. This is unacceptable.      With a 5000 mAh battery, it should last longer, but I’m only getting about 12 hours of mixed usage. Samsung, you are not Apple! 18 hours isn't a full day, and 12 hours is definitely not. If I get up at 6 AM, this phone is dead by 6 PM—not at 30% or even 15%, but completely dead!      This phone should have better battery life. A screen-on time of 7 hours would be nice. Traveling for a full day, using GPS, and watching YouTube podcasts drains the battery quickly. It even loses nearly 1% per hour overnight, going from around 90% to 77%. A YouTube test showed an M2 MacBook Air drains less overnight.                       H...
