What Is FaceTune?

Image
Well, well, well... this time last year, we did an article about Samsung Calendar. Now, Facetune seems to be popular, so it's time we checked out its features.        Facetune is a mobile application developed by Lightricks. You can change your hair, skin, outfits, and now nails in this application. This image editor is primarily for people and faces and, unfortunately, only works online.           To change hair, first import a photo and click the hairstyles button. There are eleven options. In this one, I clicked "Sunkissed." Notice how the hair is changing colors. If you like this change, you can click the checkmark.         Now click "Looks" to add makeup. You also get a litany of makeup options for women and different looks for men. You can choose what you would like, then click the checkmark. Now, there are so many features to this application that we cannot get through all of them today, but there are some core feat...

How To Change Homescreen Grid On Samsung

Image
Hello, this is TheTechBoy with a special article.        If you want more space on your homescreen, you can change it from a 4 x 5 grid to a 5 x 6 grid. This means more applications will be able to fit on one screen.         Go ahead and use two fingers to squeeze the homescreen. Then click the settings icon on the bottom right.        Click homescreen grid and at the bottom there will be options to switch. If you want to switch the app screen grid, you can also do the same by tapping the app screen grid button. God Bless and Tech Talk To You Later!!

Don't Download This App!!

Image
Merry Christmas everyone! Here is my present to you: don't download QR code scanning applications.      Two QR code apps were the number one and two apps on the Play Store last week, and that is so sad. QR code and flashlight applications often steal data and request unnecessary permissions at worst, and are slow, ad riddled and useless at best. This is because you have one built into your phone.      On Android and iOS, use the camera to scan a QR code. If you can't do that, open the Google app and click the camera icon. Grant the permissions, and you will be able to scan QR codes now! Delete your QR code app! God bless and Merry Christmas!

Grok Is Trash

Image
Hello, this is TheTechBoy with an update. You may remember the praise I gave Grok a few weeks ago. How it could create images that Photoleap can't, had no watermark, and only a few flaws… well, that's over now. Grok's images are now very shiny and bright. The skin tone is flatter and more dull, and the clothing doesn't look or fit "real" anymore. It's really sad. One saving grace… it can describe outfits other people are wearing.

The Web Is Dead

Image
Computers are dead and the web is dying with it. In the 90s, computers were used mostly offline, but with the release of Internet Explorer, applications transitioned towards the web. In the early 2000s, websites were growing. People would surf the web for fun, to get content, and there were even dedicated portals from Yahoo and AOL.        Computers were still used to access the internet, computer programs were still essential for internet access while phones were still gaining features. People used the internet for fun; websites were still being built, flash animation was a thing, and new forms of media were exploding.       Podcasts, blogs, internet games all exploded in popularity. Magazines transitioned to the web and news went online. Life was fun... but then people stopped creating and just started posting links and memes on social media. The portals died, and now the top 50 websites, excluding illi...

The Best Software For Spy Kids

Image
Are you feeling inspired by the SSALTW series? Do you want to do the things that were done in the book ?  Do you dream of becoming a kid spy? Unfortunately, since companies have stopped making spy toys and radio communication devices, we now turn to computer and mobile software to fill the gap. The number one aspect of a good spy agency is communication. If you have walkie-talkies, that’s a great first step. To take it digital (or intercept your rivals’ communications), download SDR+ or SDR# on a PC. These are compatible with my favorite SDR device, the RTL-SDR. With this setup, you can intercept frequencies, monitor your team’s conversations from a home base, or record your opponents’ communications. On mobile, the applications shown below of apps can offer similar functionality. You might use applications like Snapchat or Instagram for more modern communications, but these aren’t as secure as Briar, a peer-to-peer communication app. Briar allows you to communicate over the s...

What Would A TRUE 3rd Party OS Entail

Image
The DOJ is relentlessly attempting to destroy Google, and while this effort will not succeed, I got to thinking about alternative search engines and alternative OSes and wondered about their feasibility. I am loyal to Google because they are good and the best at what they do. However, I am open to switching. I switched from Docs to Word, ChromeOS to Windows, and even tried out other browsers for a few weeks (check old podcast clips to see what I’m talking about). I’ve never owned a Google Pixel phone—only Samsung.           I’ve gone hands-on with iPhones (they suck), played with “alt search” engines like DuckDuckGo and Freespoke, and still returned to Google. I have the expertise to switch if I wanted, and yet I continually choose Google Search, Gmail, and Android. Why? Because it’s better than the competition. I’d be willing to try a third-party operating system. However, those OSes are long dead because Google an...

Samsung Keyboard AI: Great, But Glitchy and Overly Censorious

Image
I’ve been using Samsung’s AI-powered keyboard for a while now, and while it has great potential, it’s definitely not perfect. One of the most annoying issues is how often it glitches when I’m trying to edit text. Even when there’s nothing remotely offensive in what I’m typing, the AI sometimes glitches and times out, and it can be pretty frustrating.        The other thing that bugs me is how censorious it is. For anything it decides is “offensive,” it goes way too far in trying to block or change the text. I get why some people might want filters, but it feels unnecessary—especially the offline verson. It should be uncensored.     Samsung’s keyboard AI has a lot of promise, but until they fix the glitches and loosen up on the censorship, it’s not quite living up to its potential. OpenAI's SORA is Releasing Today Per MKBHD.

Image
Hello, this is TheTechBoy with a special report.      MKBHD has confirmed that OpenAI's SORA will be launching today. SORA is a video generator that can apparently generate 1-minute videos. I will test it out later today if I get access. In the video, MKBHD has showed the darkened news clips look good as are the text does appear skewed. The clips are very detailed and high quality which means that my prediction may come true, that Ai video will bet 'better' before it gets worse. Think of a high school fight video or typical social media videos its recorded on cell phones, in vertical, not stable, in low quality. Notice how good the video looks so spoofing things will be harder for now because the quality is unnaturally high. God bless and Tech Talk To You Later!!!

One UI 7 Broke My Phone

Image
—into a million beautiful pieces.        I finally got my One UI 7 update and got to play with it over the few days, and honestly, it looks better than I thought. The icons don't look as bad as I thought they would; the animations are great, but there are still some things missing.       I like the redesigned buttons and the search bar at the bottom, which I will get used to. The notifications are big and look good, and the OS just looks and feels overall more shiny. It could be better, though.      First of all, the widget situation is abysmal. Sure, you can add new lockscreen widgets, but you have to unlock the phone to use them. Goodbye recording from the lockscreen. I had fully programmed the back button to activate the recorder, which worked while locked.       Speaking of buttons, unfortunately, my Good Lock button module is gone for the time being, as well as adding edge panels. Hot take here, but I don...

How To Rank Faces On Android Phone

Image
Hello, I often talk about the face ranking application and how we can code Ava to be better this is how.        The application is called ToolWiz Photos and you can use it in three easy steps. Note: face data will be sent to the cloud as processing is not on-device. 1. Download the application and launch it. Swipe on the home page, and on the second page (bottom left), you will find the face ranking application. 2. Take your selfie or choose a photo from the photo picker at the top. If you want to use the back camera, you can see the camera flip button at the top right. 3. After selecting your image, it will rank it. And it's not "guessing" either, as its results are repeatable, give or take a few decimal points.  Is it accurate? Well, you know our policy! God bless, and Tech Talk to you Later!

How to Save an Image as a Sticker on a Samsung

Image
Sometimes, you may want to send a fun sticker image or add a mini sticker to another image, kind of like an offline version of Instagram. This is how you do it.      Go to the image you want to be a sticker and hold down on it. A box will appear saying 'save as a sticker'; click it and save the format you want at the bottom. Then, click done.       To add it to an image, click the pencil icon and click the smiley face at the bottom, then click stickers. For some reason, it doesn't show the most recent stickers, so click the gallery icon, and you will see it. You can now move it around and resize it. Then, click save. God bless and Tech Talk to You Later. Check out Samsung's S24 FE 5G with OneUi and Galaxy Ai. Purchases will support the company.
